With the campaign “Wir brechen auf!”, the State of Upper Austria encourages municipalities to de-seal paved surfaces.
Our vision shows how a sealed surface can become a green place and became the campaign’s key visual, from the spot to the online banner.

With the browser game “Schwammtastisch”, the Berlin Rainwater Agency turns the sponge city principle into a playful experience.
Across 14 levels set at real locations in Berlin, players turn streets and squares into a sponge city themselves. We were responsible for the visual content and animations. The game is free to play online.

Following the example of Ghent, the non-partisan initiative “Grazer Mitte” wants to take through traffic out of central Graz and make room for greenery, walking and cycling.
Our visions translate the concept into tangible images at key places in the city centre. The initiative received the VCÖ Mobility Award Austria for its traffic concept.

The City of St. Pölten is redesigning the Promenadenring around its centre step by step, with more space for walking and cycling, new trees and green areas.
Our visualisations, based on the plans, show what the ring will look like after the works and help the city communicate the project clearly before it is built.

The Greens Landstraße wanted to show how ideas from a large citizen participation process could change Landstraßer Hauptstraße: more trees and more space for walking, cycling and spending time.
Our visions made the proposals for the main street and other places in the district visible. They were used in public outreach and picked up by the media.

Workshop for municipalities at the Upper Austria Cycling Network Meeting in Linz: “Street Space of the Future: Using AI Visualisations as a Tool in Municipalities”.
The focus was on how visions of the future make street redesigns tangible, especially where debates get heated, and where the limits of AI lie.

What could Vienna’s streets and squares look like with more space for greenery, places to linger and active mobility? That question was the starting point of the Instagram project Vienna Blooming.
The visions were deliberately free ideas rather than plans, meant to spark discussion about public space. Several media outlets reported on it, and the project grew into Blooming Cities.

Upload a photo, redesign the street, share your ideas. With Blooming Cities Studio, residents can turn their ideas for streets and squares into visions of the future. For municipalities and organisations, we set up dedicated project spaces where ideas can be collected and analysed.

Partners
We work with cities, municipalities and public institutions as well as partners in research and education.
Two spatial planners have used artificial intelligence to create visualisations in which flower beds, flowers and trees take priority over cars.
In our workshops we use Blooming Cities to show children and young people, in a playful way, how AI can help communicate climate-related topics.

We are Blooming Cities, a Vienna-based studio for visualisation and communication in urban development.
